設計概念:

CRADLE to CRADLE, IDLE to IDEAL.

The pursuit of social progress and development must be accompanied by a large amount of infrastructure, however, in Taiwan, more than 800 idle buildings have been accumulated In the past 2 decades. Not only wasted more than 261 billion NTD in construction costs but also make the debt of Taiwanese government approaching to 7 trillion NTD. A lot of new construction not only wastes many public funds but also produces a lot of waste. The construction of each new building will result in energy consumption and manpower consumption, in addition, it will also cause a lot of air pollution during the construction period. Therefore, how to redesign and recreate the idle buildings and turn them into the ideal public spaces is an important issue to think about. In this case, the concept of the construction is to compose the variety of different function by the most simple components. Try to maximize the flexibility of space reuse on the premise of minimizing the construction costs and resource consumption.

設計概念:

V4, Self-Circulation Housing

“V4” housing was combined with four vertical systems, which are (1) vertical-village, (2) vertical-wetland-system, (3) vertical-waste-food-recycling-system and (4) vertical-air-filter-system. Not only provide more living space for the citizens but also recycle the rainwater, waste water, waste food then resubmits to the city area as the clean water and organic fertilizer. Furthermore, it can also clean the haze and give back the clean air to the city. In the process of the water recycling, the vertical wetland system can also provide the organic vegetables for the city.

Try to imagine, if there is a collective housing can actually do a recycling circulation by itself, not only reduce the energy emissions but also can make the great benefits for the surrounding area, it will really improve the city environment.

This time I planned an island located in the east of Fujian Province of Mainland China, Taiwan Main Island on the site. Taiwan has a land of 35,980 kilometers, with a population of approximately 23 million people living. Taipei City has a population of about 2.7 million people, is the capital of Taiwan, and is also one of the world’s leading cities in Asia. The Xinyi District of the target site of this time is located somewhat south from the center of Taipei City. It is an area of economic development that is the first commercial for now. A building block is a toy made of wood material. It can be stacking, lining, breaking up. I think that building blocks are Architecture. Building blocks incorporating architectural elements can create various interior objects depending on how they are stacked.
