TREE TATTOO

The light is glowing through the light well into waiting room, just like colors filling in pigment needles. The color extends from floor to wall then up to ceiling, each filled pigment needle is introducing people into the room. The tattooists advocate trees, and trees represent eternity. I used silhouette trees as the design language of the ceiling and the walls, which are related to those plants under the center light well. The lighting has multi layers and from different directions, that gave tattooists uniform light sources.

Traditional temples of Taoism in Taiwan are universal, but none of which provides visitors a place to calm down their mind. Taoism dates back to 2500 years before, the principle is to meet the regular routine of daily life recorded in the calendar of 24 solar terms. This project based on mental condition、physical condition and Nature. Except of the changes of landscape in four seasons, this project emphasis the interaction of visitors and local residence to experience the circulation of Nature and the relaxing life by simple farming and cooking, thus promote the positive perspective of life.

FUJI FLOWER CAFE

This is a space that combines coffees and floral designs. I wish to bring the floral designs into our daily life rather than special holidays. To imagine that we need a cup of latte every day; why wouldn’t we need a flower everyday to encourage our mind? Here, we are providing a different lifestyle, “slowness”. Except from selling beverages and flowers, floral lectures are provided. It is like you are putting yourself in a greenhouse garden and here you can see the whole growing processes of plants from seeds to beautiful flowers. Everyone here is a florist, and you can create your own floral.

Breathing Barrier

Existing acoustic barrier has only one effect of blocking noise from vehicles, and there is no other function that improves the environment. Therefore, we dedicated to create a new design and find solution. The main component of emissions are NO3-, and NH4+ , and also the components to cause acid rain. So, we use the nitrogen-fixing ability of the moss to decompose these components that causing air pollution. In the future, air pollution problems and certain environmental afforestation will be effectively improved and the highway guardrail will be no longer just an acoustic barrier.

Light Symphony

Sense of hearing is not only the key element to interpersonal communications and interactions but a vital factor of effecting one’s mood. Music has reflected our sweets and bitters of life, however, unfortunately, most of us take it for granted and then neglect its importance. Announced by Beijing Hearing Association, there are over 72 million people in China suffering in hearing loss, which occupied over 20 percent of the total population with impaired hearing in the world. However, the loss of hearing leads directly to the enhancement of other senses, especially on vision and feeling, therefore, we focus on utilizing chromatic light as well as the mobile phone to provide dual perception so that those deaf people can feel the music from the bottom of their heart.

Migration

Great Kemeri Bog Visitor Center focus on the observation of migratory bird and the water recovery system. Considering precipitation and rainy season in Kemeri National Park, we design this building a Green Building with water recycling reuse system. And the roof-garden connects the landscape in view, to be a viewing platform where visiors can have a rest and take photos.

Floral Knotting

Floral Knotting comes from our study of the wood industry in Taiwan. There will be many scraps left after process. Most of the remaining wood is not easy to use due to its size, which inspired us to effectively reuse the remaining timber. Use it to make it a furniture that can be used again. Using the traditional floral knot impression, the remaining wood was cut into single-module blocks, and the timber was reconverted into oriental abstract floral knot glossary.

Urban Breathing System

Our design is to weaken building function, improving emissions, and freely define public space. A large area of moss wall is used to absorb emissions. The main component of emissions are NO3-, and NH4+ , and also the components to cause acid rain. So, we use the nitrogen-fixing ability of the moss to decompose these components that causing air pollution. After PM2.5 attachment, system could decompose the required substances for moss. Urban Breathing System in which structures and bus stop are blended together, freely assembled. This organic system increases potentials of adaptation in urban.

City of Mexico was developed based on automobile and highway, thus various local issues was generated according to such urban characters. Highway allows traveling from places to places in a more efficient way, but the structure itself encourages segregation from both sides of land. This proposal targets on above two urban issues by rethinking of character of abandon cars and issue of highway structure, aims to propose an urban strategy to turn social issues into positive solution for Mexico city. The concept first focus on how to transform each abandon car into a capsule living unit, then propose simple but extendable structure to form building like complex. By dedicating underneath the highway as location for complex, this proposal does not only aim to rearrange the uncontrolled urban slum situation into an organized community, but also reactive the undesirable urban corner and encourage opportunity for passing through via sky-bridge to develop connection between both sides of highway.
