邱奕旭教授帶領少庠建築工作室（Le Petit Atelier）參加由高雄市政府都發局舉辦之國際競圖：「舊打狗驛（高雄港站）文化保存與都市再發展徵圖」，榮獲佳作

原位於高雄市鹽埕區高雄港邊之台鐵高雄港站，昔稱「打狗驛」、「高雄驛」，在日據時期利用浚港填築海埔新生地興建高雄的第一座火車站，亦為1908年台灣西部縱貫線鐵路全線通車後之終點站，當時肩負客運及台灣南部工廠所需大型機械等貨運的運載功能，由於加上海港的開港，開啟南台海陸聯運的時代，後至2008年貨運業務中止，營運正式熄燈。

其見證台灣鐵路百年發展歷史，蘊藏了豐富的文化資產元素，市府為保存高雄港站的鐵道文化，已透過文資法登錄為歷史建築及都市計畫將鐵道保存納入都市設計規範，包括高雄港車站、月台、北號誌樓及部分鐵軌道等設施與場域，並同時保留鐵道復駛的可能性。市府為了整合調適高雄港站區土地的開發、地區發展需要及鐵道文化保存活化，在進入實質開發前，辦理本徵圖活動，希冀透過專業者、市民參與及創意激發等方式，尋求本地區文化保存與再發展最佳的開發策略與都市設計方案。

Concept

追隨記憶的曲度，以現代通透感的影像呈現，減少沉重量體的壓迫，並利用曲線的空間變化，增加空間趣味性的設計效果，使具現代感的曲線變化，應用於空間分隔、室內家具、文宣廣告及景觀造景等細部。而在實際操作面而言，可透過「原歷史建物之保存」、「既有空間或設備重新活化利用」、「改造與融合」及「新設計創造」等方式，傳達紋理意象或延續活化原有機能，並賦予融入整合之機會。
