1945年台灣光復後,大陸來台之建築師與外籍建築師,陸續建構出台灣的現代主義建築之論述與構築性表現。但台灣本土培育的建築師,其論述與構築表現卻缺乏相關研究。清台灣本土籍建築師的構築表現與發展趨勢殊為重要。

本論文目的在探討台灣第一代本土籍建築師高而建築作品的構築性表現。 1951年畢業於成功大學建築系的高而建築師,在台灣光復後設計出許多優秀的建築作品。本研究依其建築作品之設計先後順序,分析淡水高爾夫球場(1967)、台北市立區合會(1975)、台北市立美術館(1983)、華視光復大樓(1985)、順益台灣原住民博物館 (1994)等五件建築作品。研究方法以現場訪談、收集國立台灣博館提供之設計圖面、並重新建構3D,探討高而的作品之構築性表現。其結論為:

1、構築手法現更加精緻化並發展出獨特混凝土仿擬木構造構築手法。

2、金屬玻璃帷幕牆的部分使用與後現代主義發展之趨勢。

3、構築手法有朝向合理化、技術化、人性化的趨勢。

 Abstract

After the retrocession of Taiwan in 1945, architects from both Mainland China and abroad have been establishing continually the first architecture language and tectonic expressions in Taiwan. However, researches on tectonic expressions made by native modern architects are deficient in Taiwan. It is very important to clarify tectonic expressions and their trends in native Taiwanese architects.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate one of  the first generation of native modern architects, E.P. KAO , who graduated from Architecture Department of NCKU in 1951 and has designed a lot of outstanding architecture works after the retrocession of Taiwan. From viewpoint of tectonic expressions, this thesis analyzes his five architecture works according to the order of their designed time as follows: New Tan Sui Golf Club(1967), Taipei Area Coordinated Savings Company(1975), Taipei Fine Arts Museum(1983), CTS Kuang-Fu Building(1985), Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines(1994). The research methods include on-site interviews, collecting the original drawing from the National Taiwan Museum and rebuilding 3D models. The conclusions are as following

1. Architect Kao’ R.C. tectonic expressions are more refined and unique by   imitating wooden construction forms.

2. The post-modernism architecture development trends are used in metal   glass curtain walls.

3. Tectonic expresions are tending to rationalization, technology and humanity.
