Gunther Domenig (Klagenfurt,1934~)
生平簡介
1934年，出生於德國的克拉根福（Klagenfurt），為奧地利人（Austrian），就讀建築於格拉次（Graz）工業技術學院1963~1973年，與Eilfried Huth合作
1969年，獲得坎城計畫案都市計劃及建築國際大獎
1973年，設立他自己的工作室，此後他便擁有了自己的建築事務所於克拉根福（Klagenfurt）、格拉次（Graz）及維也納等地
1975年，獲得歐洲金屬構造獎（Prix Europen de la Constraction Motallique）
1980年，擔任格拉大學的客座教授，其研究室、講義分布於國內外，包括了德國、義大利、英國、土耳其及美國
建築成就
Gunther Domenig曾說：「我喜歡個人地去認知所選擇的形式作為訴諸於美感具現（Embodiment）的概念。我認為人類的行為模式定義了複雜的空間形式。舞蹈與建築就像一個會運動的舞台。而有兩件事對我而言很重要，一是對材質訴諸於美感的影響，另一則是透過意思、思想及感受尋找到其本身。」
Domening的建築觀，在其許多已建造的大型建築物中，是以較多關於情感的思考多於理智理論。而其空間中的材質、尺寸、設備都是電腦來做精密的計算。
〝在配置上使用十字交叉的軸線，並且指向湖泊…….。在空間的操作是運用體與體之間交錯的關係。體與體之間交錯的關係和空間情感的表現，兩者的關係是非常重要，之間的平衡點是來自諷刺、反對、矛盾、羞怯…….。〞(Stone House)
